What Ford Changed on the 2027 Explorer

The 2027 Explorer keeps the same five-trim lineup and adds new options where buyers asked for them. Here is the full list Ford published.

V6 Available on Platinum

Platinum can now be ordered with the 3.0L EcoBoost V6. The upgrade adds quilted leather seating surfaces and an exclusive wheel design.

ST Sinister Package

A new dark appearance package for the ST: 21-inch gloss black wheels, amber accent lighting and ST badges outlined in black.

Sun & Sound for Tremor

V6 Tremor models can add the Sun & Sound Package: an upgraded B&O® sound system, massaging front seats and a power moonroof.

Ford Security Package

Every 2027 Explorer comes with the Ford Security Package included for one year from the warranty start date, or as a one-time purchase.

Two New Colors

Avalanche Gray and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat join the palette.

Slick Roof Option
