The Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package adds a frame-mounted hitch receiver, 4/7-pin connector and Tow/Haul mode wiring, installed by Ford.

What is new on the 2027 Ford Transit?

For 2027, the Ford Security Package (one year included), a perimeter alarm and daytime running lamps are standard on the Cargo Van and Passenger Van XL/XLT. A one-time 7-year Security Package purchase is a new option, and Iconic Silver Metallic replaces Ingot Silver. Engines, lengths and roof heights carry over.

Is the 2027 Transit available with all-wheel drive?

Yes. Intelligent AWD is available on gas Transit Cargo Vans from Transit-150 through Transit-350 HD, and on Passenger Van, Cutaway and Chassis Cab. Ford designed it so it does not raise the load floor or seat height. E-Transit is rear-wheel drive only.

What is the difference between the Transit-150, 250, 350 and 350 HD?

The series number reflects the gross vehicle weight rating, which drives payload. The Transit-150 comes in Low and Medium Roof only. The Transit-250 and 350 add the High Roof, and the High Roof Extended body. The Transit-350 HD brings the highest ratings, including dual rear wheels on the Extended High Roof Cargo Van.

What roof heights and lengths does the Transit come in?

Three roof heights: Low (about 82.7 inches tall), Medium (about 99.8 inches) and High (about 110 inches). Three Cargo Van lengths: Regular (217.8 inches, 130-inch wheelbase), Long (235.5 inches, 148-inch wheelbase) and Extended (263.9 inches, 148-inch wheelbase). The Regular length is Low Roof only, and the Extended length is High Roof only.

How much can a 2027 Transit carry and tow?

Ford lists up to 5,047 lbs of maximum payload and up to 6,900 lbs of maximum towing for the Transit Cargo Van when properly equipped, and up to 487.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the High Roof Extended. Payload and towing vary widely by series, roof, length, engine and options, so we confirm the numbers for your exact van before you buy.

What gas mileage does the Transit get?

Transit configurations rated over 8,500 lbs gross vehicle weight are not included in the EPA fuel economy rating system, so Ford does not publish MPG for them. Real-world economy depends heavily on load, route and configuration.

Do you have 2027 Transits in stock?

Yes. Many trade packages can be ordered from the factory, and we coordinate aftermarket upfits, from racks and partitions to box bodies and custom moto van builds, through Ford Pro's upfit network and specialty builders, with one point of contact at Lasco Ford.

Do you deliver work vans outside the Fenton area?

Yes. We offer free delivery anywhere in Michigan, and most of the purchase can be completed online or by phone.
