What Brought You
Here Today?

Lease situations are not one-size-fits-all. Whether you are over your miles, trying to avoid a big turn-in charge, simply ready for something new, or your lease is ending in a few months—Lasco Ford has a process built specifically for each scenario.

My Lease Is Ending in 1–6 Months

This is the most common scenario and the best time to act. Waiting until the last week to figure out your options means you make rushed decisions under pressure. Coming to Lasco Ford 90–120 days out gives you time to compare a buyout vs. a new lease, lock in the best available incentives, and avoid scrambling at the end.

  • Pre-return inspection to identify any excess wear — no surprises at turn-in
  • Side-by-side comparison: keep vs. turn in vs. new lease
  • Ford Red Carpet Lease renewal loyalty incentives may apply
  • Roll into a new F-150, Explorer, Bronco, or Escape — often at the same or lower payment
  • You can turn in at Lasco Ford even if you did not originally lease from us

I Want to Get Out Early — Pull-Ahead

The Ford Lease Pull-Ahead Program allows qualifying lessees to exit their lease up to 12 months before the scheduled end date—often with some or all remaining payments covered by Ford manufacturer incentive cash. Lasco Ford is an active lease pull-ahead center and processes early exits on both Ford and non-Ford leases regularly.

  • Up to 12 months early in qualifying situations
  • Manufacturer pull-ahead cash may cover your remaining payments
  • Especially powerful when combined with current Ford lease specials
  • We review your remaining payments, mileage, and eligibility at no cost
  • Works for Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, RAM, Jeep, Toyota, Honda, and more

I Am Over My Mileage Allowance

Over-mileage is one of the most expensive mistakes you can make at lease turn-in—and one of the most preventable. At $0.15 to $0.25 per mile over the limit, costs add up fast. If you are currently over your allowed mileage, or you know you will be by lease end, getting into a pull-ahead now is almost always cheaper than absorbing those overage charges at return.

  • Every mile over your limit costs you at turn-in — those fees do not go away
  • In many cases, exiting early and getting into a new lease actually saves money overall
  • We run the numbers: pull-ahead cost vs. overage cost at term end
  • New lease can be structured with higher mileage allowance to match how you actually drive
  • Do not wait until turn-in to discover what you owe — come in now

I Want to Buy Out My Lease

A lease buyout means purchasing the vehicle you are currently driving at its pre-set residual value. This can be the right move if the market value of your vehicle is significantly higher than your buyout price—meaning you have equity in the vehicle. Lasco Ford can help you evaluate whether a buyout makes sense and arrange competitive financing.

  • Compare your buyout price to current market value — you may have real equity
  • Equity can be applied toward the purchase or your next vehicle
  • Finance the buyout through Ford Credit or your preferred lender
  • Keep driving the exact vehicle you know and trust
  • Lasco Ford handles the paperwork and coordinates the process start to finish

Over Your Miles?
Act Now. Not at Turn-In.

The moment your odometer crosses your lease mileage limit, every additional mile is a fee waiting to happen. Most Ford Credit leases charge $0.20 per mile over the limit. That sounds small—until you multiply it by 4,000 extra miles and get an $800 bill at turn-in that you never saw coming.

The pull-ahead option is almost always more cost-effective than sitting on an over-mileage lease and hoping the charges are not as bad as you think. Lasco Ford will run both numbers side by side and show you exactly what you save by acting now versus waiting until the lease ends.

The Honest Math Nobody Tells You

Waiting to turn in an over-mileage vehicle does not stop the clock. Every month you continue driving adds to the deficit. Meanwhile, manufacturer pull-ahead programs and current Ford incentives that could offset your costs have their own expiration dates. The best time to address an over-mileage lease is as soon as you know you are over.

Example: Over-Mileage at Turn-In

Annual mileage allowance10,500 mi / yr
Your actual annual driving13,500 mi / yr
Miles over per year3,000 miles
Over 3 years (36-month lease)9,000 miles over
Fee at $0.20 / mile$1,800 due at turn-in
Pull-ahead today — offset via incentivesCould be $0 out of pocket

Example figures for illustration. Your actual mileage fee is stated in your lease contract. Lasco Ford will review your specific contract and run your actual numbers at no charge.

Why SE Michigan Chevy & GMC Lessees Are Coming to Lasco Ford

In a region with one of the highest concentrations of GM employees, retirees, and supplier company workers in the country, it is fair to ask: why would someone with GMS pricing choose a Ford? Here is what we hear every week from buyers who made the switch.

  • The F-150 outperforms the Silverado on towing, payload, and powertrain variety—and the gap is wider than most people realize until they actually compare the specs side by side.
  • Many SE Michigan supplier employees qualify for Ford X-Plan pricing—because their company supplies both GM and Ford. The pricing is comparable to GMS.
  • Pro Power Onboard has no Silverado equivalent. After a Michigan ice storm, the F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid is a generator that can run your house essentials. That is a real, recurring Michigan value.
  • We give aggressive trade values on GM vehicles. We want your Silverado, Sierra, or Equinox. Our appraisals are competitive and we will show you the number before you make any decision.
  • Current Ford incentives are strong. Combined with available conquest cash for buyers switching from competing brands, the final payment difference is often smaller than people expect.

Why Lasco Ford
For Your Lease.

Lasco Ford has been a family-operated Ford dealer in Fenton since 1982. We have earned the Ford President's Award—Ford Motor Company's highest honor for customer satisfaction—twice. We are not a volume dealer trying to push you through a pipeline. We are a community dealer that works through the details until the deal is right.

That philosophy shows up at every stage of the lease process: the honest review of your current situation, the side-by-side comparison of your options, and the long-term relationship we want to build with every driver we work with. Our lease pull-ahead team handles hundreds of early exits per year across every major brand and lender. We have seen nearly every situation. We know how to navigate it.

Check Your Lease Options

SE Michigan's
Lease Specialists.

There are Ford dealers closer to you than Fenton. Here is why drivers come to us from Grand Blanc, Flint, Holly, Brighton, Clarkston, Howell, and across SE Michigan for their lease transactions.

All Makes Accepted

Ford. Chevrolet. GMC. Ram. Toyota. Honda. We have seen every brand, every lender, every situation. Most dealers say “we take all makes”—our team actually knows how to navigate the lender requirements for each one, including coordinating drop-offs when required.

Up to 12 Months Early

Most dealers advertise 3–6 months early. Lasco Ford can get qualifying lessees out up to 12 months before lease end. The right manufacturer incentive program and the right inventory combination can make an early exit surprisingly affordable—often with no money out of pocket.

Lower Your Payment

In many pull-ahead scenarios, we can get customers into a newer vehicle at the same or lower monthly payment than they are currently paying. The combination of manufacturer incentives, current lease programs, and the value of your trade often produces better math than most people expect.

Dedicated Lease Team

Lasco Ford has a dedicated lease pull-ahead team that handles nothing but lease transactions. They know the current manufacturer programs, the Ford Credit rules, and the coordination required for non-Ford brand returns. You are not talking to a generalist salesperson learning on the fly.

We Handle the Details

Damage on your vehicle? Over your mileage? Lender questions? Lasco Ford contacts the lending institution directly, works through excess wear issues, and manages every piece of the process. Drivers who have turned in a lease elsewhere and experienced the runaround are consistently surprised at how smoothly we handle it.

Lease Pull-Ahead
FAQ

How early can I get out of my lease?

In many qualifying situations, Lasco Ford can facilitate a lease exit up to 12 months before your scheduled lease end date. The exact window depends on your specific lease terms, your remaining payment count, and which manufacturer pull-ahead programs are currently active. Standard pull-ahead programs from Ford typically cover 3–6 months of remaining payments, but more aggressive programs are periodically available. Call us or fill out the form and we will tell you your specific window based on your actual contract.

Do I have to be a Ford customer to use Lasco Ford for a pull-ahead?

No. Lasco Ford works with drivers coming out of leases on all major brands including Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, and more. The one caveat: some manufacturers require their leased vehicles to be returned to a same-brand dealership. When that applies, Lasco Ford coordinates the logistics with you so you are never left figuring it out alone—including helping arrange the drop-off at the appropriate location.

Will I owe money to exit my lease early?

It depends on your specific lease terms, how many payments remain, and what manufacturer programs are currently available. In some pull-ahead scenarios, manufacturer incentive cash covers all remaining payments—meaning you exit at no cost and roll directly into a new lease. In others, there may be a modest cost that is still less than simply running out the lease with excess mileage or wear fees. Lasco Ford runs your specific numbers and shows you exactly what each path costs before you make any decision. There is no obligation to proceed.

My vehicle has damage on it. Can I still do a pull-ahead?

Yes, and do not let this stop you from exploring your options. In many cases there is existing coverage built into your lease agreement that can address damage at turn-in. Lasco Ford will contact your lending institution directly and work through any damage questions on your behalf—it is something our team handles regularly. If repairs are needed, our service department can often address them before return at competitive rates that are less than what the lender would charge as a turn-in fee.

I am over my mileage limit. What should I do?

Act as soon as possible. Over-mileage is one of the most common and most expensive lease situations, and every additional mile driven makes it worse. Most Ford Credit leases charge $0.20 per mile over the allowance at turn-in. On a lease 4,000 miles over, that is $800 due at return—a cost that is non-negotiable once you are in turn-in mode. Lasco Ford will run a side-by-side comparison of what a pull-ahead would cost vs. what you will owe at lease end if you continue driving. In many over-mileage situations, exiting early with manufacturer incentives is significantly cheaper than waiting it out.

Can I turn in my Ford lease at Lasco Ford even if I did not lease it here?

Yes. Ford Credit allows lessees to return their vehicle to any participating authorized Ford dealer—not just the originating dealer. Many people assume they are locked into the dealer they leased from, but this is not the case for Ford. You can bring your Ford lease turn-in to Lasco Ford regardless of where you originally signed, and we will handle the inspection, paperwork, and transition to your next vehicle in one visit.

What is the difference between a pull-ahead and a buyout?

A lease pull-ahead allows you to exit your current lease early and get into a new vehicle—typically with manufacturer incentive cash helping to cover remaining payments. A lease buyout means purchasing the vehicle you are currently leasing at its pre-set residual value, which makes it yours rather than returning it. Pull-ahead is the right move if you want to get into something new. Buyout makes more sense if you have grown attached to the vehicle, the buyout price is below current market value (meaning you have equity), or you want to avoid the hassle of shopping for something new right now. Lasco Ford will help you evaluate both options side by side.

How do I know if I have equity in my leased vehicle?

Your buyout price—the residual value set at lease signing—is in your lease contract. If your vehicle's current market value is higher than that buyout price, you have equity that can be used. Check your contract for the residual and compare it to Kelley Blue Book or what Lasco Ford will appraise your vehicle for. In strong used-vehicle markets, some lessees find substantial equity in vehicles they thought were just “due back.” That equity can be applied toward your next purchase or lease—which significantly changes the financial equation. Lasco Ford will appraise your leased vehicle at no cost as part of our review process.

When is the best time to start the lease pull-ahead process?

The ideal window is 90 to 120 days before your lease end date. This gives you enough time to compare all options without pressure, take advantage of current manufacturer incentives before they change, find the right next vehicle without rushing, and handle any pre-inspection or damage resolution before turn-in. If you are already over your mileage limit, the answer is: start today. Every month of delay adds to your overage costs. If you are already in the final 30 days, we can still help—we have completed same-day transitions when needed. Call (810) 390-5550 and our lease team will assess your specific situation immediately.

Can you handle lease turn-ins on Chevy, GMC, or other GM vehicles?

Yes, in most cases. SE Michigan has a very high volume of GM lessees and Lasco Ford works with GM brand customers regularly. However, GM Financial does typically require GM-brand leased vehicles to be returned to a GM dealer. This does not prevent us from working with you—Lasco Ford coordinates the GM drop-off and manages the transition to your new Ford in parallel. You do not have to manage two separate dealership experiences. Our team handles the communication and logistics between the return dealer and Lasco Ford so the process is as seamless as possible on your end.

Lease pull-ahead eligibility, timing, and available manufacturer incentive coverage vary based on individual lease contract terms, remaining payment count, mileage position, vehicle condition, lender guidelines, and manufacturer programs active at time of inquiry. Up to 12 months early exit available in qualifying situations only—not all customers or contracts will qualify for the maximum early exit window. Manufacturer pull-ahead programs are offered by Ford Motor Company and participating lenders and are subject to change without notice; program availability and coverage amounts vary by month and vehicle. Same or lower payment outcomes depend on current lease incentives, vehicle selection, credit approval, and individual lease structure at time of new vehicle delivery. Non-Ford brand lease returns are subject to the return requirements of the original lender and manufacturer; Lasco Ford will assist with coordination but cannot guarantee acceptance at non-Ford facilities.
