Chief Program Engineer Arie Groeneveld and his team tested the Dark Horse SC alongside the Mustang GTD and GT4 at Sebring and Virginia International Raceway. Those elite cars were the benchmark. The result is a 795 HP street car with revised rear suspension geometry, forged suspension links, a magnesium strut tower brace, and an aero package validated in a wind tunnel — not on a marketing whiteboard.

The Cockpit Is From the Race Program

Ford didn't design a performance car and then add racing touches. They pulled hardware directly from the Mustang GTD program into the Dark Horse SC cabin. The flat-bottom D-shaped steering wheel is the GTD's. The Alcantara trim, carbon-fiber accents, and RECARO seats on the Track Pack Special Edition are the same specification Ford Racing uses. The toggle that adjusts suspension and exhaust is there because this car is expected to see a track.
