The Ford Mustang isn’t just one of the most recognizable vehicles on the road, it’s also one of the most popular around the world. With such an important product in its arsenal, the Blue Oval decided to “Go Further” when it came to updating it for its mid-cycle refresh. So, meet the 2018 Mustang, which doesn’t just look even cooler, but also has had some impressive updates in the performance department.
To make the Mustang an even more fun pony car, they upgraded the suspension—in particular the shocks, stabilizers, and lateral chassis stiffness—to levels that you usually could only get with the optional performance package. Both four-cylinder and Coyote V8 get small power bumps, and the V6 is being discontinued. On the visual end of things, you’ll notice that the top of the grille has been lowered by an inch or three, paving the way for more aggressive headlamps with more pronounced LED daytime lighting elements.
